Case Report

Initial PET Results
The initial PET scan showed extensive lymphoma tumors in the neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. With this valuable information, the patient was scheduled for a stem cell transplant to treat this advanced cancer of his lymphatic system.

Follow-Up PET Results
After the stem cell transplant was performed on the patient, a follow up whole-body PET scan was done and showed a complete disappearance of the tumors.

Change in Treatment
Without the information provided by the PET scans, the patient likely would have been subjected to surgery or other medical treatments. Instead, he was given the stem cell transplant, which successfully eliminated the cancer.
